The Sound

Tommy Hearne, Joe Rhead and Robin Turner, forged from folk songs and ghost stories, creating eerie psych-folk-rock epics from Liverpool. What began as a home recording project grew into something larger; their self-titled EP arrived in 2024, described as "Wickerman-rock", folk storytelling fused with the weight of modern psychedelia, drawing from classic folklore and mysticism, reframed through themes of intolerance, division and unease.

Championed on BBC Radio 6 Music by Stuart Maconie, as well as other national and international airplay reaching as far as Peter Barakan from NHK Japan.

Horrid Fog II was released 1st July 2026.
